Plastic is defective. My antenna blew of while driving due to plastic fatigue. You can see the way the plastic is made or joined together. The wing style antenna moves a bit due to the aerodynamics when driving. Over the years it caused the plastic to fail at the connection joints. Customer service told me they think the antenna probably got stuck on something overhead and pulled it off. Really? They would not warranty it.

Arrived in great shape! Just what I was looking for. It is a replacement for an identical base that had broken where the antenna attaches. Having to replace the antenna as well. The system works well, but it's placement on my camper is probably not the best to keep it from getting a lot of wind buffet while on the road. This is the second time I have replaced the base and antenna for the same failure. But, I'm able to replace the base and antenna without having to remove the mounting plate and re-seal everything, so it's a really easy swap.

We had an RV-Link base and antenna on our new trailer a Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser when we purchased it in 2021. Somewhere in early 2024 the antenna fell off and all we had was the base with a jagged hole in it where antenna used to be. Your base fit perfectly on old mounting base still attached to the roof of trailer. Purchased the corresponding antenna, installed both and everything is working great.

I bought a 2024 Aurora travel trailer in Spokane Wa. this antenna was not on, wiring was showing on top of the trailer. Salesman said they ship them like this. Went back two weeks later to pick up the Aurora the antenna was still off, of course the dealer said they would call me when parts come in. Still no call. My thoughts on the antenna is, it broke when shipping to dealer. Another thing that comes to mind is winter time I cover the Aurora. with the Antenna wing to base connector. being about 1 1/4” diameter it’s going to be weak.

Unfortunately this was replacing one that broke off on a new Rv. By looking at it I can see that the material holding on the antenna is very thin so it would not take much to break. Considering this is in a toy hauler that goes in the mountains this should be a little more robust. Thanks
